&lt;p&gt;I experimented with converting a C# windows forms program into Ruby, &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;and even though there are places where it goes awry (e.g. the GUIDs&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;on the required assemblies don't match on my system and there were&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;places where . had to be replaced with :: ), but even so, the program&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;works nicely. But that's not really important - what it that this is starting&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;to look like something I can use for real development work. Thanks!&lt;/p&gt;
