ICSharpCode.SharpDevelop.BuildWorker.exe wants to access the internet

    Hi,

I am new to SharpDevelop and I have just installed vesion 3.2 on my WinXP SP2 machine.

I'd like to know what does the BuildWorker process do and why does it need to access the internet during build?

The compiler and tools should be available from the framework SDK locally.

    Any replies will be appreciated.

In SharpDevelop 3.x, we use a localhost TCP connection for the communication between SharpDevelop.exe and the BuildWorker. Though I'm not sure why your firewall would show a warning for localhost connections - plenty of programs use those.

In SharpDevelop 4, we changed the build worker to use named pipes instead.
